This is our house and studio. Andrew lives here with his wife and two young children. We use our house to live, study, make art, make noise, have fun. This is the headquarters for meadow starts with p, Andrew's collaborative art practice with his children. Residents can work with MSWP, do a solo project, or both.

809 is an artist-run space that provides a venue for the discussion and dissemination of local, national, and international contemporary art. 809 aims to provide a supportive experience for the artists in residence and encourages all mediums and methods of art making. As another alternative space to commercial galleries, garage galleries, and government funded artist-run centres, 809’s approach to supporting art is flexible and almost bureaucracy-free. It is the aim of 809 to spread appreciation and initiate new and exciting art in Calgary.

We are a one story house with a basement. We have a very fluctuating flow of guests and so you might have a full furnished bedroom to yourself or, at the very least, a make shift bedroom in the basement (we have lots of extra sleeping gear, including mattresses). There could be a small working studio space if required, including the garage space. We are pet and plant friendly and a mostly vegetarian household.

I would like to invite you to participate in the Bonar Family Tropical Residency Program, located within my childhood home in Delray Beach Florida. The purpose of inviting you here is to explore how a space that I have known only in one way can be re-imagined in many different new ways. The purpose is to make new friends in a place where I made up I can't have friends. The purpose is to share with each of you my home and hometown, and to explore it and learn more about our own growings-up together.
We at the Bonar Family Tropical Residency Program want to explore the kitsch associated with a traditional Florida Vacation, and dig deeper, down to the memories, the land, the fruit, the histories and current realities of this beautiful destination location.
